Charles Rathbone is the head football coach at Page High School, where he has led the Patriots to consistent success and statewide recognition. A former assistant coach at Page from 2001 to 2011, Rathbone returned to take the helm and quickly made an impact with his offensive-minded approach and player-focused leadership style.

Under Rathbone’s guidance, Page has become a perennial playoff contender, including four consecutive appearances in the TSSAA Class 5A state championship game. Known for running a dynamic spread offense, Rathbone emphasizes getting the ball into his athletes’ hands in space, making the game both effective and exciting for players and fans alike.

A former Division II All-American offensive lineman at Carson-Newman, Rathbone brings both toughness and compassion to his coaching. He’s committed to player safety, implementing padded helmet caps in practices to reduce concussion risks, and is widely respected for his efforts to protect and mentor student-athletes.
