Eliza McKnight might be her toughest critic. The Brentwood High School senior collected 25 kills and 14 digs to lead the Bruins past Nolensville 27-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16 in another District 10-AAA showdown.
"It definitely wasn't my best game, but I'm glad we were able to pull out the win," McKnight said.
The 6-foot-1 outside hitter and middle blocker racked up 25-or-more kills for the third consecutive match. She closed a comeback in the first set with a left side hit as the Bruins rallied from a 24-22 deficit to steal a 27-25 victory in the opener. Similarly, in the third set, McKnight picked up four kills down the stretch to gain a crucial 2-1 edge to lead to another victory in the Class AAA championship rematch from 2024.
