The Franklin High School volleyball team was pushed to the fifth set Tuesday, but prevailed to stay in the mix atop the crowded District 10-AAA with a 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9 win at Independence.

The Admirals have won four of their last five matches and improved to 8-4 overall and more importantly sit at 4-1 in league play heading into matches against Summit and Brentwood.

"We have a really long week coming up, so mental toughness is going to be important," Franklin senior Lucy Riggar said. "We need to just turn it on earlier in the set to finish faster.
