| Title: | Nolensville Head Football Coach |
Scott Stidham was named Head Football Coach at Nolensville High School in April 2025, becoming the third head coach in program history. He succeeds Paul Derrick, who helped build Nolensville into one of Tennessee’s most consistent Class 4A and 5A contenders.
Stidham brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. He most recently served as head coach at Independence High School, where he led the team to three consecutive TSSAA playoff appearances from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, he spent 13 seasons at South Gibson High School, compiling a 79-41 record and guiding the Hornets to the playoffs nine times, including region championships in 2012 and 2019
Known for his disciplined approach and ability to build competitive programs, Stidham inherits a Nolensville team that has reached the Class 4A state semifinals twice and won a region title in 2022. The Knights have had just two losing seasons in nine years, and Stidham is committed to continuing that tradition of excellence.
“I am honored to follow in the footsteps of Coach Derrick and Coach Hester,” Stidham said upon his hiring. “They laid the foundation in 2016, and they are why Knights football has been so successful. I look forward to working daily with the coaches and players to continue to make this program something our school and community will be proud of”
Athletic Director Zach Hudson praised the hire, calling Stidham “a tremendous leader of young people” and expressing confidence in his ability to guide the Knights into their next chapter.
