Scott Blade is the head football coach at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, where he has built a legacy as one of the most successful coaches in the state. Blade originally led the Eagles from 2013 to 2021, compiling a record of 74-37 over nine seasons and never missing the playoffs His tenure included a perfect 15-0 season and a Class 5A state championship in 2015, followed by a runner-up finish in 2016.

After stepping away from coaching to pursue a career in finance, Blade returned to the sidelines in 2024 as the defensive coordinator at Lipscomb Academy. In 2025, he was rehired as head coach at Independence, where his three children graduated and where he remains deeply connected to the community 

Blade has also won a state championship at Hillsboro High School in 2008 and has earned recognition as a seven-time region coach of the year.
