A pair of student-athletes from the Franklin area were recognized as the first John Maher Builders Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 school year as the Spring Hill-based builders begin a 20th year partnering with the Williamson Herald to highlight local standouts.
Franklin High School's Emory Kerr and Grace Christian Academy's Knox Lambert both were honored as the opening scholar-athletes. In addition to the recognition, the pair are eligible for scholarships that will be presented to two females and two males selected as scholar-athletes of the year at the annual John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete banquet in May.
