Eliza McKnight, a Brentwood High School senior, and Page High junior Cameron Kruse were selected as the latest Gateway Tire Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 15.
McKnight paced the offense for the Bruins as the girls went 3-0 in District 10-AAA last week to take the lead atop the local volleyball standings. Kruse tossed a couple touchdowns and the Patriots improved to 3-0 with a shutout win over Brentwood on the gridiron.
The pair were chosen as part of the Athlete of the Week awards sponsored by Garth Bouldin of Gateway Tire & Service Center in Franklin. Each week, athletes from Williamson County are selected and featured in the Williamson Herald throughout the school year.
